Positive Attitude
Attitude is a complex mental state involving beliefs, feelings, values and dispositions to act in certain ways. It is a natural or acquired habit or characteristic tendency in a person. I am glad that attitude can be acquired. Do you carry some bad disposition and negative self-images that you don't even realize you have them. Positive attitude gets you through many facets of life; being able to show appreciation to the people or situation you are in bridge a relationship closer. Self-reflection is a good manifestation in your private preparation. Your tone, verbal, vocal, enunciation and articulation have a strong display of your attitude. We all know that positive attitude attracts beneficial people, a favorable situation and gets treated better.Thought transcends action. The action is a reflection of your truest feeling, belief and spoken words. The next time you utter your first word, make sure you give your full attention, and it is kinder to back out a discussion politely rather to end it abrasively. Your attitude is your character ambassador.
Respect
Respect is the condition of being honoured, well regarded and a courteous expression. Treat everyone with respect, regardless of their position. Do you have a varied response toward your relatives, family members, neighbours and workplace colleagues/associates? If you make a conscious effort in making others' world a better place, sympathetic and kind in the way you conduct your nuances, you will find lots of positive energy opening up the doorways. Never jump to a conclusion to judge on others. Hold your tongue, search your ignorance and narrow window before you pass judgment, dark opinions or negative energy. Successful leaders show respect for people above, below and middle. They are calmed, humble and polish in their demeanor. They recognize, esprit de corps, motivate and encourage. They exercise the right standing with a balance emotion - firm yet fair, confident yet humble, honest yet modest, strong yet coherent.
Collective Communication
Crafting a speech and making the content appropriate to the audience is a daily clarion call. You communicate to people everyday and mindful awareness takes precedence. Have you wondered why are your words, sentence, style and delivery misconstrued? Do your communication style vibrates ambivalence that nobody understand what you are trying to say. Your trait of being uncommunicative and not volunteering your response when someone trying to break the ice is regarded as reticence, this is appalling. Worst, do you talk with a questionable manner as if everyone owe you a living? The world is filled with cynical people who burn bridges. Be a cynical optimist and bridge your communication in a good way.
Gratitude
Embrace moments of your life with gratitude for someone who is helpful to you. Small or big, it is a good deed. Engrave your soul with humility and bring light to others by putting a smile on them. Everyone feels and plays a part in contributing, craves for recognition and very often; receive an acute insufficiency than they would like.
Send a thank you note. Be aware and applaud the efforts behind the scene and give due credits (small or big). Express it from your heart and never feel burdensome. People want to be acknowledged, appreciated and, rewarded (not in cash, but in kind).
Your compliments could possibly weigh a promotion on others. It is never a waste but may move tears to service providers. A thank you note reflects your educational level, culture, knowledge and values.
I was packing my office cabinets recently and found an old file with numerous written compliments from my hotels' guests. I am proud that I walked through those moments of true meekness with great dignity.
